- 日 day; sun; tongue wagging in mouth (#12)
- 早 early; sunflower (#26)
Alternatively: ten sunflowers; not even 20 suns could pierce this mist; the mist is so strong we cannot see the sun at 10am; the mist makes the sun look like it has been pierced through with needles; a sunflower pierces through the mist like a needle; etc. Whichever image is vivid enough for you.
